Business problems
Quotes thrown together, customers struggle to decide
On Conex, customers can request quotes from several businesses at once and compare them. A detailed quote with a clear validity period that's easy to negotiate helps customers decide. Quotes sent as long text or photos of receipts all look the same.
Common causes
- Items and prices aren't pulled from the same catalog.
- No standard quote format.
- Changes during negotiation aren't saved as versions.
The impact
- Customers pick a competitor's clearer quote.
- Miscalculations only surface when the order is created.
- The team doesn't know the final agreed price.
Common mistakes
What often makes this problem come back
Sending a total with no breakdown
Customers comparing several quotes need to see each line. Itemized lines, discounts, and notes make your quote easy to evaluate.
Validity period not adjusted
Material prices that change often call for a short validity period, so you're not stuck with old prices.
Negotiating over regular messages
A figure agreed in a message doesn't change the quote. Use a counteroffer so the latest version is what becomes the order.
Leaving requests with no response
If you can't take it on, use Tolak (Decline) so the customer isn't left waiting.
How to solve it
Fix it step by step in Conex Bisnis
Menu names match the business.conex.chat dashboard (in Indonesian). Steps marked Pro require the Pro plan.
- 1
Fill in product and service prices in Produk & Jasa (Products & Services) so they can be used as quote line items.
- 2
In Fitur Bisnis (Business features), make sure Minta penawaran & nego (Request quotes & negotiate) is on, then watch incoming requests in the Permintaan (Requests) menu.
- 3
Click Buat Penawaran (Create quote): pull items from your catalog, add free-form lines like installation fees, then fill in discounts, service method, schedule, notes, and validity period.
- 4
When a customer haggles, respond with a counteroffer: change the total or revise the items. Every revision is saved as a new version.
- 5
Accepted quotes automatically become orders in Pesanan & Booking (Orders & Bookings), with items from the accepted version.
- 6
Track quotes sent and acceptance rate in Ringkasan (Overview).

Turn on requests
Make sure Minta penawaran & nego (Request quotes & negotiate) is on in the Fitur Bisnis (Business features) menu.
- Day 3
Agree on standard notes
Decide what goes in your quote notes, such as scope of work and estimated time, so every admin writes the same thing.
- Day 4
Respond to open requests
Open the Permintaan (Requests) menu, choose Terbuka (Open), then send a quote for every request you can take on.
- Day 5
Practice counteroffers
Use counteroffers to revise quantities, prices, or items instead of typing new figures in chat.
- Day 6
Decline what doesn't fit
Decline requests outside your services so the Terbuka (Open) list stays clean.
- Day 7
Review the results
Check quotes sent and acceptance rate in Ringkasan (Overview), then compare accepted quotes with those that weren't.
- After that

No. Requests, quotes, and negotiation are available on the Free plan. Sending quotes from a Pipeline deal is on the Pro plan.
